I been using the Audiovox cdm8900 now for about 2 years and I have to say it's really one of the best phones I have ever owned I really don't know how it compares to the 2005 or 06 technology that's coming out but the pros of this phone is it seems to work where ever I may be I can be in an elevator or a sub basement its going to get a signal the only cons I find is the volume on the external speaker seems to be very low even at its highest level you have to hold the phone close to your ear to hear it

The phone is okay but not great. The speaker phone function doesn't work well and the pictures are generally fuzzy. The sound is good and it's rugged.

This is an excellent phone with great reception in most locations across the country. I travel in my work and need a reliable phone. This one is surely it. It is also light and durable, and it needs to be. I have dropped it a number of times and it's just keeps on working.

My favorite thing about my phone is the stopwatch. I am eligible for an upgrade with my provider, but I haven't been able to find a phone I like as much as this one. It is smaller than most phones and it has all the extras I need. None of the other phones I've looked at have a stopwatch.

The 8900 has all the basic features needed in a cell phone. Reception is good, picture taking average, and sound clarity good. I bought one of these as a backup phone to use with a calling card.
